Hey ladies :::waves:::
Are you a beauty junkie, like me? DO you have cabinets and caboodles (yup) FULL to the brim of stuff you have used just a handful of times and either didn't work for you, or you found something even better?
Do you buy makeup just because it's pretty ::ahem, BeneFit:: but find it way overpriced and full of fluff?
Do I sound crazy right now? Okay, great.
So, I have an exciting announcement. I was chosen to be a Beauty Ambassador for Bloom.com.
What the means, is that I will have the opportunity to review the newest products monthly, and I will be featuring those reviews here!
Once things pick up speed, I will also be featuring some giveaways, which I am super stoked about!
Like you, I buy stuff ALL the time with *such* high hopes of that miracle (insert product type her), only to be let down, wishing I had a friend who used it before I blew $35 to tell me to buy a weeks worth of Starbucks instead.
So, please join me here, and follow me on my journey of trial and error. I hope to discover some new awesome products, and weed out the not so wonderful for you. THe awesome thing about Bloom, is that they have a 365 day return policy... it really doesn't get any better.
So please keep an eye out, I will be posting my first reviews next week.

long time no blog
I'm so sorry, ya'll... I know I have been neglecting you. It's been so difficult to find time to get on my real computer, as opposed to the Nook.
I plan to make it up to you, though. With my favorite new dinner. It's yummy, and has a decent calorie count. Fajitas! They can be so easily tailored to suit your taste/calorie goals. I use plain, nonfat greek yogurt instead of sour cream, and it's identical.
So, first things first, you want to use the kind of tortillas you have to fry up yourself. Trust me, worth the effort.
These are what you're looking for, though I've used several brands with the same yummy results.
The other ingredients... cast of characters, so to speak. We use orange, yellow, and red bell peppers. To me, these give a much better flavor than green bell peppers. Of course, this is subjective, and easily changed to suit your taste buds :)
We also use coconut oil to sauté the chicken, and to fry the tortillas.
Doesn't that look amazing? It is. We have it once a week, at least. Also, with the leftovers I have made casseroles and soups... super yum. As far as marinating the chicken, I have used several variations of lime juice/chili powder/cumin combo. It's hard to screw up. Also, I'm not a great cook, so if I can make it yummy, so can you :)

fashion, yo
I decided to do a little post about my Polyvore addiction. Whether its stuff I can't afford (hello Alice and Olivia, stop making stuff I love), or stuff I can't fit into (yet), I LOVE to create sets on Polyvore. I figured I would start posting about them here in a little section I will call "Silhouettes I love".
Most of what I love about fashion can be seen in just the silhouette. I am not huge on prints, although I do love texture. I just really adore a nice, well tailored outfit. You know, the kind that looks chic, but not overdone. Thought out, but not 'planned'. Whether its cutoffs and a tank, or a great dress... there is a right way and a very, very wrong way.
So, let me know what you think!
This is one of my favorites right now, for summer. I think this shape really works on everyone, and depending on the shape of the jacket, can really create an hourglass look without looking va-va-voom! I also love how this can go from day to night, so easily with a little jewelry.
This one, well... I just love it. I think its comfy, and sexy, and fun... and just says, "hey, let's stroll down Venice beach and people watch all afternoon"
This look is a classic. It's hard for me to pull off, since I think it looks best with thin legs, but with a tunic the right length it can work. The nude wedges certainly help. This is another look that can be totally transformed by a shoes switch-a-roo.
THis is a fall look that I adore. Every year for the past decade I have sought after the perfect boots, jeans, long length shirts... all to create this cozy, sexy, easy look. I just love it, can you tell?
This set... trouser jeans, breezy open knit, a lovely leather bag... what else can I say? an everyday look that is easy and stylish.
This is my favorite 'night out' look. I love the ease of the dress, with the edge of a brightly colored bag and the octo-cuff.
What I will be realistically be living in all summer... minus the awesome yet long necklace that my infant son would only pull on all day :)
If I could wear only one outfit, my whole life... this would be it. I actually saw this shirt IRL, and didn't get it, and will forever mourn the loss. Do you ever do that? No... just me? Great.
So, there you have it. A few of my favorite basic shapes. From day to night, girly to rolling around on the floor with kids. Fun for every shape and size... do you have a favorite?
